Just curious. How many of you cats hunt more than one state for elk?  I normally hunt WA and either MT or ID.

Yes. ID & WA. Tag soup both in 2013.

Or did you ask "How many SUCCESSFULLY hunted elk in multiple states?"

I have yet to hold two tags in one year but have grow more aggressive in applying for multiple states each year. Maybe this year.

I put in for every state I can.  Killed 3 bulls last year with my bow, over the counter hunts.  Addicted to putting in for the draws.

Hunted both wa and Idaho for elk

Put my pins on a great bull in wa and had my cross hairs on a amazing bull in Idaho

Unfortunately I took too much time pulling the trigger in Idaho

Very happy with both states an can't wait for next year

I hunt Washington and now Montana for the last 2 years. Two years ago Montana started letting former Montana natives (have to have been born in Montana (birth certificate), have passed Montana hunter safety (since I took it in 1975, I thought this would be hard, EASY online, thanks Mont F,W,&P, and have a family member still living in Montana (mother, father, sister, brother, son, or daughter) for 100 bucks.

Thought I'd share this. 2013 Pa Elk pics. Couldn't quite get the links themselves, but if you GOOGLE: "Don Campbell PA Elk" and then click on ECO's 2013 zone 12 elk hunts you may be surprised on the quality of the elk there. I think about 70 tags are given out to about the 20,000 applicants  :yike:

I have already put in for Arizona and Wyoming.

I also put in for NM, Colorado and Utah.

If I do not get drawn I typically go to a state which I can get an OTC tag.
