« on: January 24, 2014, 10:21:52 PM »
Is there such a thing as a "Predator Slam" or do us "Washingtonians" need to start one?
I'm thinking Coyote, bobcat, Red Fox, Grey Fox,Cougar, Black bear..... what else? Let's get something going....

If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

They are few and far between. There may be more on the east side but on the wet side, I've seen 2 since 1983 and fox tracks in the snow only one time. I've never seen a red on the wet side.
I don't know of any of my friends that have seen any foxes at all on the wet side.
There are far more greys in Oregon. I think the grey has the best-looking fur out of all of them. If they couldn't climb trees, there would be far fewer of them.

Just like in baseball... the whole point of a "Slam" is to have a specific 4 scores.... right?
Like the Grand slam of turkeys...
Or Grouse slam.....
Or Deer Slam....

So wouldn't the Predator "Salm" be something like the 4 best, or hardest?

Maybe limit to small game or non-Tag game. Like no cougar or bear because they need a separate tag?

Like Coyote, Fox, Bobcat, Raccoon?

Silver Fox and Cross Fox.  The Cross is my favorite.

a cross fox is just color variation of a red fox. like the black foxes with silver tipped hair. that might be what youre referring to as silver fox.

in washington, ive only seen two foxes.  both were red, both on west side.  cant remember exactly where the second one was, but the first one i saw ran across the road in front of me coming down cemetery hill on the west side of auburn.  it ran across and jumped up onto the rocks on the side of the road bordering the cemetery and just stared at me.  never seen a fox over here in the ne corner, too many yotes and such.  even raccoons around here are a pretty rare sight.  ive seen 2 here in last 4 years

and kind of irrelevant, but i saw an arctic fox on the rocks right at the city dock of nome.  was standing there watching us cut our barge loose.  pretty cool
