Went to the sportsman show. Ended up buying a new Davis 14 x 16 wall tent. $995.00 for tent, 6 inch stove jack, 1 window, screen door, all the angles for internal frame, stakes, bag for the angles, bag for the tent. Heard nothing but good things about Davis tents. Exited for elk season!!

Yes that does include fire and mildew resistant. Also water proofing.

As mentioned earlier I have a 14 X 17 and enjoy eh daylights out of it don't think you'll be disappointed

Wall tents are great for warmth, comfort and drying out gear on a cold wet elk season! I loved my tent but sold it after it got mildew after only the third season. It had the mildew/fire resistant also. Try to hang your tent up in the offseason, I dried mine and stored it in my garage during the off season folded up and it still molded up on me. Wall tents are great, just keep them dry in storage! Congrats ! Not trying to be a downer, just want to give u a heads up.

That's good advice for any tent. It takes time to dry them out good longer than you think.
I have a walk in upstairs in my garage and that's where the hunting room is. It is toasted warm there in winter and 70 during the summer.
If you are going to have tents you have to dis alpine your self to hang them or at least drape them so they can dry.

I have had my canvas blend tent 10 years of three week straight hunting and no mildew. You just have to make it a priority .

I laid down cash for tent & stove from Davis, also. I went 12 x 14, though since its just me & the dog 98% of the time. Can't wait for it to show up for turkey camp.

In 1985 I had Yesterdays Traders in Graham Washington made a tent for my brother and I. The tent is 12x18 with five foot walls and had two stove jacks put in. Put a 6" at one end and a 8" on the other with a zipper at each end. The cost was 600 dollars and well worth it and still use this tent for hunting. If dried before putting it away for the season it will last a hundred years. Mold is a tents worst enemy. We wish we would have went with the 15 foot wide instead of the 12 foot wide. I love using my tent in the late season in GMU 101 for Whitetail deer in the archery season. I have a barrel wood stove and we have a cord of wood delivered to our camp every year. We usually stay for about three weeks when we go. Sounds like a lot of wood, but if you are their when it is cooled you will use most of the wood if not all the wood. What a great camp, and look forward to it every year.

going on 30 plus years with my tent. Fairbanks tent and awning. Some years have to put it up in the barn and start the stove but always dry it out. buy quality and only cry once. Take care of your gear or cry.................

Have not used it for hunting in 10 years (got a camper).

that seems like a screaming deal! the only wall tent I have had direct experince with was a old buddy of mine a few years ago. the last day we hunted elk the snow started flying, he packed the tent away wet, left it covered but still outside for a week or so, then brought it into his garage for a week or 2, then finally unpacked it to let it dry. it was already toast by that time, covered in mold and mildew. luckily it was an 2nd hand tent that he wasnt into that much cause it was garbage.

But if you take care of it and treat it right, itll probably outlast you

Have a 10x14 4' walls. Made of marine canvas. It's 35yrs young. Looks really good for its age almost like new. Love a tent going to go out and give my tent a hug

tee, I was thinking the same thing. to make a 4' tent into a 5' tent is to sew one foot of sod cloth on the bottom, works great. mike w

truer words were never spoken, i had the same thing happen with my walltent, it made me sick to my stomach, if you think its dry, hang it for a few extra days to make extra extra sure

and if possible store it in your house, mine has a permanent spot in my walk in closet now, good luck, you will surely love it if you have never had one before, i have mine so outfitted now that i can take a shower inside my walltent, i have a pantry, the yukon wood stove package a drying ststem bunk beds and a flat screen t.v and an xbox oh and a 2000 watt honda generator

I lay mine in a friends big garage that has a wood stove and I keep it stoked. turn the tent every couple of days then roll it up and store it. mike w

Friend bought a Davis on Saturday. They were giving us a bunch of crap about the Seahawks.
He called them after the game, they said they were ready for Hockey season.
Sent him another new hat with tent
