knock point
« on: January 25, 2014, 10:00:24 AM »
Were should the knock point be? Inline to the rest (arrow being parallel to the "earth", perpendicular to the bow) or, offset slightly (.500" from arrow rest, arrow tip pointing slightly downward)? Please advise. Thank you in advance

If it is a compound bow shot with a release the nock point should be set square to the rest.  Perpendicular.

If it is a compound shot with fingers, or a trad bow the nock should be about 3/16" high.  Some experimentation may be required to get it exactly right.

Cool. It is a compound and I was shooting with fingers. But, I bought a release yesterday. Looks like I need a new knock point. Thank you very much. I appreciate it
