Lol! Chew?! I was brought up to believe if you can see white on your fingernails, you might as well be a hepatitis incubator. It stuck with me

nice revolver, congrats. the only "internal safety" on that smith- aside from the internal hammer block which you should never mess with, and will never know is there, is the key lock that comes on these new ones- unless you decide to lock it with the key- it should never be an issue, as it really cant be activated without the key.. my snub has one, but I just ignore it..
