Need a place to go deer and turkey hunting
« on: January 28, 2014, 09:24:08 AM »
Hey y'all I've been up here 3 years now and finally broke down and decided to give the awesome hunting up here a shot. I've been detered from hunting up here strictly because I'm new to the area and know no one. So if anybody knows of any landowners willing to let myself and a fellow air force member hunt their place we'd really appreciate it. We'd be able to hunt the Spokane and Lincoln County areas.

Thanks

You might check into purchasing an IEP permit (Inland Empire Paper company.) last I knew it cost $40 per person. They own a big chunk of land north of Spokane, and a smaller piece to the south on the Idaho border.

There is also a lot of public land north of Spokane, both National Forest and state land.

The Turkey Capital fo Washington is the Colville area, but turkeys are all ocver the place basically from Deer Park to the Canadian Border ...   lots of deer and other critters too.  get off the main roads and ask some people .... most people are very receptive since many hate one or the other or both.   There is also a lot of good public land up that direction.

North Lincoln County has good populations also and the same applies to the people, but there is limited public land.

Good luck and thanks for your services ....

Hey Kpaez08 ..... rewind the clock back to 1976 and I was 18 and was an AB in the same shoes at Fairchild AFB.  No mentor and I didn't know the first thing about hunting.  I went down to the White Elephant and asked to buy a shot gun.  Guy asked me if I wanted a 20 or a 12.  I figured that 20 was bigger than 12 so went with the 20.  Yep.  That's now green I was.  Drop me a PM if you've a mind to and I'll give you some good intel on turkey and deer up north of you.  Thanks for your service ... rover ... a.k.a SMSgt, USAF, Ret.
