I have 1-Mark I, 2- Mark II's and a Mark III.  Great guns and tack drivers. Only shot a buck mark a few times.  Still like the Rugers.

Buckmark here. Had it for several years and only had one jam. Very accurate too. Love mine.

I have a Buckmark so that might make me a bit bias but I have shot MKIII's a few times and I prefer the Buckmark.  Seems to feel better in my hand and is very accurate.  They are a very similar pistol in many ways so check both out, go with what feels best and you can't go wrong.

:) I like them both, look for the best deal. I had a 22/45 and had to learn to grip it differently, with my normal grip I kept hitting the mag release with my thumb making it a single shot!! :chuckle:

Thanks for all of the input.  I will give them both a good shakedown tomorrow.  I really liked the trigger on the Browning, but heard that it is a bit finicky on different types of ammo.  I have about 6 different brands that I will run through it.  From what I have been told, the Ruger will eat almost any type of ammo without issue.  I am interested to see the take-down of the MK III, especially after the all the comments that I have read.  With any luck, I will have one or the other in the safe before the game starts.

I have owned both,
I still own the Buckmark    They are both good, reliable, and fun guns.  The Buckmark shoots a little better for me.   I never minded the takedown/ reassembling of the Ruger and I thought it was a better looking pistol than the Browning.  After a couple years of persistence I talked a friend into trading my mark II straight across for a 1948 Colt Woodsman and I've never regretted making that swap.

I have both, a MkII with Volquartsen internals and a Buckmark, which I added a Tacsol barrel.
I take the Buckmark every time.

Much better trigger, grip angle and mag release.
I would sell the MkII if you're interested
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.
