Buckmark or Mark III

Just looking for any input from everybody that has one of these or both.  I am really stuck on which one to get.  I have fired both and found both of them comfortable.  I will use it mainly for plinking and an occasional grouse or snake when fishing on the east-side.  Any pros or cons would be appreciated.  I have pretty much narrowed down my search to these two models.

15 years ago , it took me the better part of a evening and a pile of cold ones to figure out how to reassemble one for the first time.

Mark III. Simple takedown/ re-assemble once you learn it! Tac-Sol upper, cascade supressoer the way to go!

Never had to hold a handgun upside down at a angle to get the thingymagig into place.👍 a first for everything I guess.

I sold my ruger cause it was such a pain in the butt to take down and put back together.   And it was hands down the most finicky .22 pistol I have ever owned.   

Never shot a buckmark so can't answer to that, though I have heard great things about them.

I have heard the same from a lot of people.....I must have gotten a lemon.  My sig 1911-22 has less problem which is very surprising.

it was hands down the most finicky .22 pistol I have ever owned.   

I have a Mk III 22/45 and it has been the most finicky pos I have ever encountered. I did a lot of work to it to get it to run right, I had to do some significant de-burring of the receiver, clearanced and polished the bolt, 86'd the mag safety, cleaned up the trigger and put a volquartzen extractor in it when the stock one failed. I got a solid 5,000 rounds through it before the magazine followers started hanging up.... I haven't replaced the magazines yet as I am still disgusted with the whole thing.

To be fair the thing does have probably 15,000 rounds through it now and is a very accurate gun but it has been quite problematic, I would never buy another.

I had both. I sold my ruger because it was never as deadly in my hands as the buckmark.  My buckmark is not finicky and is stupid accurate for me.

Another vote for the mark 3.  I have one in the 22/45 and its nice. It will shoot anything I throw at it. Unlike the Walter , Sig mosquito and SR22 it replaced. The first time tearing it a part and reassembling is a learning curve but theres a lot of YouTube videos to help.
