Homemade Wader Dryer

Made this wader dryer this year out of a 5 gallon bucket, two 5' long pieces of sch. 40 pvc, a piece of all-thread, and a couple of nuts. Self supporting and works great, I simply put my waders on the dryer and put the whole thing over one of the heater vents in the house. Its always nice when a plan comes together. Anybody else have any "inventions" that worked well?

My dad made a similar one when we were younger, but ran the PVC tubes to the top of the bucket or neck of the bell.  It allowed more heat to blow into the tubes.  When you pull them down 6-8" or more you trap heat in the bottom or top of the bucket.  It probably wouldn't hurt to put a few 1/2"-3/4" holes in the top of the bucket so more heat goes into the legs of the waders when they are pulled all the way down.

That is exactly what I was going to post.   I also think if you could find a small fan like a fan for a PC you could put it in the side of a bucket to move air and it would be quiet.   Great idea...

Pretty smart! Now I wish I had floor vents, mine are on the wall. Maybe I could just lay the whole bucket and wader combo down on the floor and push it against the register.

Here is my blind seat that I made out of:

2 pieces of ABS
2 PVC T-Joints
A piece of carpet
An old pair of carharts
A pin with cotter pin
A 2x4

Looks pretty cool. I am cheap and just hang my waders upside down inbetween a ladder that is up and then put my little fan below it on it's back. Seems to do the trick
