Simmons cam
« on: February 03, 2014, 07:42:34 PM »
I had the day off today, so decided to check out some trail cams at my local Wholesale Sports. They  had the Simmons 119318C for $99.00. I thought this little camera had some decent features with the 3 shot blast or video mod. Also having the info screen feature to check the number of still photos captured, how much disk space is left and how much battery life is remaining. Looked pretty simple to set up so I bought my first one.
I'm taking it out to Kapowsin tomorrow and setting it up in a area with a active cougar  or cougars feeding on deer.
Has anyone else tried this little camera out? And how did it work out for you and did you like it?
I did read the trail cam basics, tips and tricks posts and will take all that good information into consideration.
Thanks, Greg.

I don't have a Simmons but I have a Tasco that may be the same camera. It's been a pretty good camera. Not much good in video mode but setup is simple, battery life is really good, and the trigger is plenty fast. Plus I love the compact size. It's the smallest trail cam I own.

Does your Simmons take 4 AA batteries?

I wish some mfg would come out with a 4 pack bargain for around a hundred bucks or so.  Maybe that is something I should look into importing straight from a china manufacturer.  Sell here on HuntWa.
It's a TIKKA thing..., you may not understand.
