SOVERIEGN RIFLE SCOPES?
« on: February 25, 2014, 11:24:03 AM »
Anyone on here ever heard of a sovereign rifle scope? If so do you know where they are made? Would like to find out more information on them, because I just bought one of ebay, it seems to have great optics and is for sure an older scope. Thanks, Kyle

I did a little looking around for it and all I could find were other folks asking about them and not getting any answers.  I suspect it is a re-branded scope for a gun or optics supplier much like a Cabelas "Pine Ridge".  I've had a number of old Weaver K-2.5's that were re-branded by Sears  "JC Higgens" and other national chains with no evidence of Weaver anywhere on them.  There was even an importer of surplus arms in Hialeah, FL that had a bunch made for them to put together sporterized military arms for sale.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Thanks for reply AWS, Do u think a gun expert would have any information on this brand of scope, even if it is a re-branded scope I'm curious who it was made for. I was told that it was made in Japan, by the seller on ebay. But when I asked where he got that information he said he lost it.

You might try looking for info over at the optics forum on  24hourcampfire.com  or on the SWFA optics forum.
