sitka 90% lite
« on: February 13, 2014, 08:08:44 PM »
Mountain archery has the 90% lite jacket on sale for $160.. is it different from the 90%? It seems to be the only one on their site. :dunno:

It's lighter weight. It's probably on clearance. New line coming out very soon. April 1 I think? The rest of their stuff is probably sold out till the new stuff hits.

i think all the 90% has been the "light" for the last 3-4 years. I have seen older 90% stuff that is much heavier than mine.

btw I love my 90% pants and coat

Not even close. While I like my 90% jacket, it was somewhat water resistant at first, but that went away quickly. I feel the 90% jacket is an early season, day hunt jacket.

It's not their rain gear :dunno:
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

It's not their rain gear :dunno:

It's supposed to have a DWR finish on it...that needs to be "recharged" every now and then by putting it in the dryer. It's definitely not waterproof, nor is it supposed to be. If you're in a heavy enough rain to get you "soaked", it's too much rain, by design, for a 90% jacket.

That's right, it's not designed to be rain gear. I think I've worn the DWR completely off mine. It makes a great jacket for early season, dryer weather.
