Cool pics, neat looking buck.  I drove by two pretty good 3 point hard-horned blacktails on my way into work this morning.  Nothing like seeing those hard horned bucks running around to get the adrenaline going.

Nice looking bucks!

If you need some help with the firewire thing, I may be able to help ya out. I went through a series of headaches with mine before I figured it out.

Since you have a laptop, it could be fairly easy. First question is, does your laptop have a port on the side of it like this:

If so, you can buy an external firewire port/card that looks like this:

I can't remember where I ordered mine from, but I think it only cost around $20. I'll see if I can dig up where I got mine from. It just plugs in there, and then has the three firewire ports and sticks out the side of your comp like so:

From there, it is really easy to use. Once you plug in your camera and turn it on, it automatically syncs up and you just open the video using whatever program you like. For the basic editing I do, I just use Windows Movie Maker since it came already installed on my laptop.

Found it....here's the website I ordered mine from. I'm sure you could find one local, but I lived in Eburg when I needed mine.

Love the video even though it makes me feel like ....  :bash: . Blacktail deer are so frusterating this is my first hunting season on the west coast, and the first season I am trying archery and neither are going well. I could of taken a doe on the opener, but I want a horn. We dont have blacktails in Virginia, I get one season to try and get one, and after all my scouting and now hunting.  I have not seen one yet except in these forums.  >:(

Patience, and I know that sucks to hear.  These guys are hard to track down.  Probably much harder than those eastern whities.

I use photoshop myself, but I have no idea how to use most of the features on it. What all are you looking to be able to do?

Do they let you hunt near the golf course? Dupont has a ton of big bucks, but I am not sure where you can and can't hunt.

I guess I assumed that photo editing software and video software would be one program. Guess not. Thanks.
