Cabela's Pine Ridge Scopes

Does anyone have any experience with these.  I will be putting a scope on a Ruger American Compact in 7mm-08 that is going into a banquet auction package for a youth hunt and rifle; and I don't want to spend much money.  Any input is appreciated.

They are junk. Try the redfield 3x9.

I have one on my daughters ruger .257 rob. Works great no problems

I have one on my 10/22 and another on my .17hmr there not bad but not the clearest either. I would look elsewhere for a hunting rifle.

I'll second what oldschool said, buy a Redfield, owned and made by the folks at Leupold, lifetime warranty, made in USA, can't lose.  I've got one and it has been flawless.

I have one on my .17HMR that has been a good scope.

I'd go with a Nikon 3-9x40, you can pick one up at most places for $150, order through Bass Pro and save on tax too.

Put one on my son's 243. I keep expecting it to fail, but 100 shots so far and it's still true. I didn't want to spend a lot on his glass until we're sure he'll take care of it the way I've taught him. Will likely upgrade him to a Vortex if/when this scope does fail.

I had one, it's gone back to Cabelas.
At 18X it was unusable.
Buy a Nikon and not have to worry about a warranty trip back to Oregon.

I have a Pine Ridge I picked up from a friend cheap used it as a floater scope to use on different rifles before I picked up permanent optics for them. It performed well and was clear for what they are, it tracked well.  Shot allot of Rockchucks with it.



Had it on a .204 Ruger AR for awhile. Funny, the Ken Ferrell rings cost way more than the scope but it still stacked them in there tight at 300 yards.

Had one on my 270 and although it shot well after sending it in 3times for the scope fogging when hunting elk. It does shot okay but if it is going to get westside wet i would go with a Leupold or ??

Buy the American Made Redfield and do the kid a solid.
