« on: February 09, 2014, 02:58:12 PM »
Anyone shooting a Browning 71-348 or a 1886-45-70? Looking at couple of High Grades on Gun Broker right now and trying to convince myself to that I really need these.... :P

I have the Winchester Model 71 in .348.  The Browning version is Japanese with production starting in 1987 I believe.  I can tell you the caliber flat out is awesome for a levergun.  As for the Browning version of the 71 I don't know.  The Winchester version is solid.

Here's a pic of my 71.

Also a link with more info for you.

My Browning 71 is just as nice a gun as my Winchester 71.

All of the Browning re-makes of the old Winchesters are really high quality guns.

If you want a shooter and not spend the money on a nice collectable Winchester, its a great way to go.  :twocents:
