which One is better??
« on: February 11, 2014, 10:08:07 PM »
Which book do you think is better 1.Bow Hunting Trophy Blacktail By Cameron Hanes 2. Trophy Blacktails the science of the hunt By Scott Haugen or 3. BlackTail Trophy Tactics By Boyd Iverson.
I have heard a lot about how good Boyd Iversons Book, and not that much about the other books.
Whats your thought and opinions??
Thanks~~

Out of those I think I liked Scott Haugen's book the best.

I have the Cameron Hanes book. I haven't tried the other books yet but the hanes book has some very helpful information. If you got it , it wouldn't be a bust I bet all of them have all around same content though.

I've read all three and gotten good info from each but Scott Haugen's writing seems to hold my interest more than the others.

I like the Boyd Iverson book best but it is getting a bit dated.

Boyds book by far IMO. I have hunted blacktail my whole life as has my family, its are families passion, we thought we had them figured out pretty good, well as good as you can anyways, they are elusive as you know what, but after reading boyds book, I found alot of great info and real useful tips, good luck, blacktails can be very addicting
my grandpa always said "if it aint broke dont fix it"

I've yet to read Hane's book, but have read the other two.  I preferred Iverson's (as it applies a little more to my hunting territory), but I don't think you can read any blacktail book without picking up a little value....  I can read them several times over and still pick up new stuff. :twocents:
