Not a whole lot you can do. He never presented an acceptable bow shot and walked right into him. Had the guy moved, he might have been gored or tossed. I called a bull into my buddy last fall and it was about the same set of circumstances. He couldn't do a thing.

We be a neat encounter and story to tell later, but not at the time.
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is who you actually are while your reputation is merely who others think you are.

About the only thing I can see is if the guy would have heard the bull coming he could have come to draw and released the arrow when the bull came into view.

About the only thing I can see is if the guy would have heard the bull coming he could have come to draw and released the arrow when the bull came into view.

:yeah:  I've seen this video before and everybody always says "no bow shot" "nothing he could have done differently..." I'm more curious about the circumstances leading up to that because I would have been at full draw as soon as that bull was within 50 yards unless we was staring at the hunter the whole time.

Crazy how this bull couldn't make the hunter out at 3' when I had a bull make me out at 32 yards this past fall with cover and wind to my advantage   :bash:
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.
