In search of a Treeing Walker Coonhound
« on: February 10, 2014, 06:25:49 PM »
My friend is currently looking for a Treeing Walker Coonhound puppy and is having difficulties finding breeders/litters of pups. Any information on finding a litter of these pups would be greatly appreciated!

there are lots of walkers around.... but you will struggle finding one that can tree anything!!!  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Sorry- I could not resist.  Talk to Bucknaze on here.  He usually has some good dogs available.  I doubt they would be regesitered or anything like that.

I have a buddy that has a litter of hounds on the ground.  Not gonna say they are walker all the way.  I have owned and hunted his strain and they can be dandies.  Let me know if you are intersted.

"In search of a Treeing Walker hound" ....
Good Luck! look for the deer :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
Seriously, Be careful.... Tons of dog Jockeys out there, find a good successful hunter that is breeding for himself and see about getting something out of a proven cross...
Marosok out of Wyoming, used to have pretty good Walkers, I had two and both were pretty good. Don't know his status anymore...

I guess I should clarify. He will not be hunting with this dog but is pretty set on this breed. He lives on a farm so yes this dog will have plenty of room to roam and chase deer haha
