10/22 Takedown opinions
« on: February 18, 2014, 03:44:17 PM »
I'm looking for opinions on the Ruger 10/22 Takedown. I'm hoping these opinions come from owners or those that have shot them! Thanks

I like mine. I put a little 3x9 on it (probably over powered) and it shoots good groups for a takedown. It's not a tack driver but I didn't expect it to be. It's a fun plinker. The scope I put on it is a little large for the case so I have to leave it gapped at the top of the zipper but it's not a problem.

Kind of a novelty more than anything for me. I got a good deal on it so I picked it up. Did manage to knock down a few grouse a few years ago with it, but just driving around so it was already assembled... Its a great way to just grab a plinker and head out the door. Lots of storage for ammo, mags...  I cold have just as much fun or more  just shooting my henry mini bolt though so dismiss my comment if you wish.

No scope on mine yet but have had it for a over a year now and it is very accurate. I have taken several small game animals I.E. rabbits and grouse have had zero reliability issues. I love it.

Thanks for the replies. I see that there are more sales on them lately, think I'll get one. I am very loyal to Ruger products, always good to get opinions though. Thanks again.
