Hmmm this isn't right, experts from wdfw say that lions don't live that close together. They say big mature toms kill and manage the lion population, can't be infested. This is all wrong...... :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

I hope the right people can use this info to get lion hunting back and this just does not just get swept under the rug :twocents:

Well said
Let me remember if I am right,
Last spring Jan 2013 something  I believe four cougars was shot same morning same day. 3 cougars for whole family husband, wife, son 2 miles from the ranch i could be wrong, I believe another one above them too.
None of this has collered this month but last year has 3 Collered.  It mean there still more Cats up there!  4-6 quota still plus 7th killed use hounds thur Gamewarden issued permit already!    Again

TWISP — The state Department of Fish and Wildlife has issued five special permits in the Methow Valley allowing hunters to use dogs to track and kill cougars in response to numerous problems this winter.

Wildlife officer Cal Treser said the special permits are the result of many sightings and incidents in which cougars have killed livestock and pets in the Twisp and Winthrop areas. They are called public safety cougar removal permits, and they’re issued when areas experience numerous complaints. Hunters with hounds are drawn by permits and allowed to hunt in specific areas.
