One Fox & One Beaver Needed
« on: February 18, 2014, 06:34:13 PM »
A family friend is going to tannery school and is required to have numerous skins to tan while at school. Still need a fox and a beaver, does anyone have one of each for sale?

Is it legal to buy two skins like this for tanning purposes?

Yes it is legal. You do not have to have a permit or license if you are buying for your own personal use.

Fox will be tough to find in WA.

Humptulips thanks for the info, I know the fox is tough to find in WA, none at all in the NE. Hopefully someone has a smaller beaver they are willing to sell.

Might know of a beaver that's in St John if thats not too far for you to go. Someone said they found a few after the flood washed out the dam last week. I'm not sure what he meant by found but he might have shot them?  :dunno: Would they work?

Holes don't matter, but it's probably not cost effective to mail it. She found a fairly affordable source for the beav and fox.

I've got both bearpaw in multiple color phases lol. I sell my reds for $80, crosses $165 and silvers $250. That's $6 below what I just averaged for reds at NAFA. Usually sell the others on taxi.net. It be cheaper finding a beaver down there. But I've also got about every size you'd want for that as well they run $50-80. Fur Ronde this weekend they averaged $70 highs $150 I saw. AK fur ;)
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.
