My GOOSE HUNTRESS
« on: November 18, 2008, 11:13:53 AM »
Well I am so PROUD of my hunting pardner (wife) :IBCOOL:. She had never hunted till she got hooked up with me and for the last 2 years she's had a few shots but no downed birds  :'( Well that all came to and end on Sunday with her getting her first goose and Im sure I looked like some big ole goof as I scrambled out of my blind t oget a hug and high 5s from her then back to get the camera as Macey brought the bird in I couldn't wait to get the pic of her and her first bird :hunter:

I think the smile  tell a lot   :chuckle:

Action wasn't very fast so it took a while but I finally got one but after noon it got totaly quiet. At around 4 I started to pick up the duck deks and all but 4 floater goose and made a couple of pack trips out to the road. I was on my way back when here come a single locked up tight and headed straight into the 4 floater. i didn't know if Rebecca was ready and had seen or heard it coming so I gave a shout out to her. I'm kind of up above the lake a little so as the bird drops out of my site I wait . Sundddenly the little 20 ga barks, I watch and see no bird come up then I hear the YAHOO Macey was done on her way for the retrieve before I got to where I could see. My sweety had her second goose and more smiles  :chuckle: Think I'll have a print of this one done up and framed for her

:IBCOOL: Congrats Mrs. LML!  Way to cool.  Can't wait to get my first.  Been out 4 or 5 times and still haven't gotten my first.  Birds just haven't been cooperating.

Great Job. I am sitting here with my daughter who just passed hunters ed this year, and she loves the smile on your wifes face. She says "she looked very excited and happy!"

Well done Mike!  Congrats to your bride.  I'll holler at you next time I'm in your neck of the woods, I get to work just to the north of you once in a while.
