If someone made a decent gun, and somebody else but Winchester made the ammo, it might turn into a good choice. Otherwise, I think it will follow the 5mm Remington into oblivion...
I bought a Boyds stock for mine, but haven't installed it yet. Hopefully that will appeal to me better..............

Putting the Boyds stock on it should make it better. That Savage stock is a joke. You shouldn't have to spend a bunch of money to restock a new gun. A shooter told me that he bought a WSM when they first came out, and his exact words were: "I couldn't sell that thing fast enough!"

They should of made it a bull barrel with a nicer stock and sold it for $350 with a scope package....

You put a .17 caliber hole in a regular barrel, and it almost IS a bull barrel!

That Boyds stock will make it a better gun for sure. I bought a Boyds stock for my 10-22 build. The Ground Squirrels are gonna catch heck now!
Campmeat. Did your groups get better with the boyds stock?
