Canning Question
« on: February 23, 2014, 07:56:21 PM »
What is the difference between canning equipment? I have a water bath pot I believe, but I am seeing the pressure cooker type. If I get a deer and can it next year, can I use the water bath?

Meat will have to be done in the pressure cooker.

If you haven't picked up any canning books yet, one of the best sources for canning info that I've come across is the Washington State University extension: http://county.wsu.edu/grant-adams/health/Pages/FoodPreservationSafety.aspx
