Whats a good camcorder??

I am thinking about filming my adventures, and was wondering what would be a good camcorder, that has
-good graphics
-takes pics
-records videos
-clear sharp screen.
My price range is $100-300

There are many other brands but I used Canon.  For that budget, I would mention the canon hfr400.  For taking picture, I don't think a camcorder will beat a cheap point and shoot camera.
