I thought this was pretty. Dad said that he always jumps deer right here and we did, two of them. Two small bucks one morning and two does another morning. Dad said he jumped a 35 inch buck right here once, one of the biggest in his life. He told me how he went and got gramps and hauled him back up here to see it so someone would believe him.

this is the other one. They looked almost alike and were standing in the same place. One was following the other. Dad said there should be a big one nearby with these little guys on the scent trail, but we never saw him

We did see this one. Dad got some real good shots of him with his big lens. I took them to school to show my teacher. We got to watch him a long time with the sun shining on him. It was cool. He had frost on his antlers it was so cold. Dad lost his favorite hat while we were watching him. He was knelling on it and then forgot it.

Lil bone, Thanks for posting you story, sounds like you had a great time. There is nothing quite as fun as hunting with dad. Your story takes me back to when I got to go hunting with my dad as a young guy and those were the best days of my life. I hope you get many many more days in the woods with your dad. good luck!

Dad took a shortcut where he said we would see LOTS of deer. He was right. This one was right along the road. He was so close. It was real dark for my camera but Dad said this one turned out good
