Yea of she might be frustrated with her BOB. :chuckle:
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

oh look a flashlight  :chuckle: :chuckle: mama, whats this,  :yike: oh thats mommys flashlight incase the power goes out  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: and when guys buy a new gun its always referred to as a "new toy" why you ask? because most of us are over grown kids  :chuckle: and guns are, are xbox,or playstation or whatever kids play with  :chuckle: on a serious note: only educating kids on the proper handling of firearms will ever stop the accidents or whatever the politically correct term is, parents need to quit being affraid and teach them kids how to handle them and what to do if they were ever at a friends house and they walked out with a gun, GUN SAFETY, SHOULD BE TAUGHT THROUGH ALL GRADES IN SCHOOL

Fishcliff.

I completely understand what you are getting at. Cause and effect, Influential terminology etc. the list goes on. I do get it.

Part of solving for those types of issues is choosing the correct battles.

I am sorry for what you had to witness. Been there myself nothing good about that. I appreciate the effort in wanting to make a difference as well.  I respect the fact that you are willing to speak out and try and have an impact. Rather it is taken as PC or not.

With all that said as I mentioned part of solving the problem is choosing the battles.

In this particular case from an influential language perspective. It could have easily been this picture as well.

That same 5 year old could be reading and say hey daddy has one that looks like that.. Lets play. Just Google Toy Gun and look at all the images.

So I buy a new truck/car and call it my new toy. Cars and truck cause more death and mangled bodies to kids than any firearms. So what is the lesson to be learned here?

I love the Savage I got from you Huntboy,I too wouldn't sweat the PC police comment. My dad and grandpas were not of the PC generation,All 3 kids in my family got the same lecture about the guns in the house, all complete with out locks,a safe and a couple of them truely loaded all the time.We got told with a few  choice sailor expletives that if we touched em our butts would burn hotter than the sun from belt leather whippings for a week.Seeings as we'd had a few leather belt whippings, and mind you not just a swing or two but rather a minimum of a dozen at full speed. We NEVER EVER went near that closet.Fear of an elder is an excellent motivator to tow the line.

For the PC crowd, I raised 2 children in my house and luckily they know the difference.

Don't sweat it HuntBoy.

Ignorance precludes it, which is seemingly more than enough.

A PC lesson for those uninformed.

This is my rifle
This is my gun
One is killing
One is for fun

Toy?

That is what Momma has hidden for when we are away in deer camp,
or
anything that shoots over 400 rounds a minute  :hello:
Only 2 defining forces sacrificed themselves for you:
The American Soldier and Jesus Christ. One died for your freedom, the other for your soul.

My rock,
He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.
Psalm 144.1
