Bows large enough not to use trigger release.

So me and my wife want to get back into archery. (I had some experience when I was in my teens.) So I've been stopping in at some shops and asking some questions. The problem I keep running into is no one sells compounds that are long enough for finger release. As well as no one seems to have any recurves in stock that are large enough for fingers as well. So my question to the forum is. Does anyone have info on a shop that has 2 or more bows long enough to utilize fingers instead of trigger releases? I live in graham and I'm hoping that with enough practice and prep. I could be ready by fall season for hunting. Thanks for your time.

Hard to believe no recurve bows long enough for finger shooting.  How long are you looking for?

Pretty hard these days to find hunting compounds long enough to shoot fingers comfortably.  What bows are out there are usually ordered special for customers due to the low sales numbers, slow IBO speeds, and high dollar amount.  Hoyt Tribute is probably the most popular hunting bow amongst finger shooters.  Hoyt also tops the list as the most popular among target finger shooters as well probably followed by Mathews Conquest.  Depending on your draw length as to whether you can shoot a 37 - 38" bow comfortably with fingers.  If that works Bowtech Specialist and a number of PSE options are available.  For me that's just a little too short at 28.5" draw length.  Doable, but not overly comfortable.

As far as shops carrying two or more...Good luck!  Only shops in the country I have seen that carry more than one finger shooting hunting bow on the shelf would be Lancaster in PA and Performance Archery in San Diego.  Of course I haven't been to them all  ;)  Wishing you the best!

I'm looking for a compound or recurve long enough that I can use my fingers as a release instead of a trigger release.
