Miah, do you even hunt the early season..? Since your already in an amazing wt country, I wouldnt even hunt till the snow falls.. I've been turkey hunting that area, and I see lots of deer.. Never got the chance to drive the 1 1/2 over there to hunt those wt.. I'll have to get over there and try it out... Good Luck..

I only hunt mulies and elk early. Just got a really nice whitetail on trail cam the other night he is a 3 by 3 with eye gaurds so he has 8 all together (some people get confused) but he probebly scores about 145 I'd say. can't wait Its gettin colder, should start seeing some early ruttin sign here soon.

I am going to be in the 121 unit also. The area is new to me so it will be a whole new ballgame. Good luck!

The Mashel, Unit 654. Took a nice 5x5 bull second day of early elk. If I was rifle hunting I would have tagged out on a nice three pt Blacktail Sunday evening. He just stood there and watched me for about a minute, neck all swelled up. Had the .300 wby on my shoulder for kitties. Felt good to just watch him and wait till archery opens. Been a couple other nice bucks hanging around in the driveway. Havn't seen them for week and a half though.

It sounds like all of you guys are heading to the eastside or live on the eastside. I wouldn't mind chasing WT around but ill be sticking around home trying to catch a BT. Ill be in 407 and 437 mainly... and if i can find the money ill get down to Lewis river with my permit for an elk. This is my first season archery deer hunting and i cant wait to see how it goes.
