I guess that means you'll have to get out of your truck to avoid the traffic.

The archery season is to early this year so I won't be putting in for anything but points. Next year is my year...

I've drawn the multi elk three times, but have never hunted east. Always hunted pretty local my whole life. Drew back to back '07 & '08. In '07 drew a Margaret rifle bull on top of it so didn't realy use or need it. In '08 I drew a late cow ontop of the the multi, again didn't need it or realy use it. In 2012 I drew it again and knocked my bull down on 2nd day of early archery. Again didn't realy need it or use it. I put in for it again though :) Bought the multi deer twice and ate it both times :bash: something about the multi tag that makes it too easy to let the little guys walk.

In 2013 there were 7,480 applications for 1,000 multi-season elk permits. The 2013 draw odds follow:

Points   Applications   Odds

7   70                 55.83%
6   230               45.13%
5   484               34.08%
4   920               23.41%
3   1181              13.93%
2   1744               6.45%
1   2835               1.65%
Total   7480

I don't personally know a single guy that's drawn a Multi-Season Elk. Out of all the guys I'm around and hunt with.
I'm in the same boat, I have 6 points going into it this year I'm getting tired of not drawing that tag...
:yeah: I have 6 as well and have not drawn it yet.  Does anyone know when they are supposed to draw it this year?
The best friend a guy could have asked for. RIP chasing pheasants in heaven Denali girl.

If they had everyone front the money for the tags we would all draw more often I bet.
:yeah: same with goat, sheep and moose!!

I apply for it because i have 16 points (Quality and Bull). So i apply for the east side permits and hunt the west side if i don't draw.
same for me, except wdfw hate me more, I have 19 points!  Drew multi elk with 6 points last time, 3 this year.  Absolutely love the multi elk tag.

I have drawn once (2nd year it was offered) and shot my elk (4x3) opening day of early archery season- my normal weapon type.
My wife drew it her 5th try, got a shot on a huge 5x5 on the wetside but ate the tag.
I apply every year, but would probably only hunt wetside- don't have time to learn the dry side.

Ive never drawn a MS elk..deer is a gimmie its underdrawn

No advantage to Archers? it is for me...I can chase bulls in sept with a bow  Idont get one the muzzy season opens and then rifle you should be into elk if your chasing them in all 3 seasons

I normally hunt Westside archery or muzzy. If I draw multi season, I will buy an eastside archery tag and apply for the area I know very well. If I draw the tag, I wont buy the multi tag, if I don't I have until September to buy the multi tag. It's a good way to save $180.

The wife and I have max points and haven't drawn a multi-elk yet!  It not only would allow us the opportunity to apply for better special archery permits, of which I have close to max points as well and never been drawn, it would allow us opportunities the general archery season just does not allow.

I really do not get how folks can apply and not take advantage of this opportunity when drawn.  When you look at the statistics it should be a no brainer decision! 2012 Combined user general elk season success rates were only 9.8% While multi-season tag holder success was 40.4%  (44% in general deer).  It's a great opportunity to either increase the quality of your trophy or greatly increase your odds of filling a tag.  I myself would definitely put both east and west side into play unless I tagged out early.

Would sure be nice if guys that know they aren't going to buy the tag would stop putting in for it.  Maybe those of us with Bad Luck, could be a little less sucky one of these days.
