Washington Blacktail - 2013
« on: February 27, 2014, 07:33:58 AM »
Got him 10/28/13. Finally got one to add to the family trophy books! The last pic is my uncle and me. He killed that 25yrs ago on the same hill. I was 9 and along for that ride. Family tradition is what its all about...and a little luck ;)

Sorry Chipmunk, I had to ask :). There is a huge diff. between the coastal and cascadt BT's. That pic does it for me, that is one hell of a cascade BT. You're the man

I'd love to hear a score on that guy........and yes, I'm sure some will argue, but he's definitely book worthy.

Congratulations, Chipmunk.  I can see the genetics (both the bucks and the uncle/nephew).  Yes, family tradition IS what this is all about.

Nice deer what did it weigh?

I got about 85 lbs of meat from him. From what I've read you harvest about 40% of a deers actual weight. So around 210+ lbs???

Chip:
Where did you conk that buck?  I see what appears to be a developed hiking trail in the background of that top image.

Also: Rifle, Model, ammunition, bullet weight, distance of shot.... details, details, details!!! Oh, and where's your hunter orange? Always a good idea to have that in the image.

I sure hope you sent a photo over to Northwest Sportsman magazine.
