I hope the shooter gets hung out to dry. Prosecuted so severely that no one will think to do something like that again for 100 years. Anyone know where this happened?

I was not there so I wont fully condem him.  Maybe he has never seen one and thought his snowmobile would scare it off.  I however do not like the fact he left it in pain and alive.  He should have finsihed the moose off IMO.
Rather be dead than cool.

Must have been a 10mm glock huh?  I don't know what else would have put down a moose like that?  :dunno:

I agree, he should have finished it off.  Hopefully he went right back and finished it.

I hope he gets prosecuted.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

I must not know Moose well cause Id have shot too at that point. Id have thought being loud, standing up, waving arms ect would have been enough. Even the first warning shot. But that Moose was determined.

The moose was comming his way at the very begining. Crazy for sure!

So to those that feel he was wrong. What would you have done different? The Moose was already comming his way it looked like to me.

I would have kept my distance.  If I was dumb enough to move up on the moose, and saw that it was bent on coming my way, then I would have backed up....

I would never have though his actions would make a moose do that. Wild. And thats what Id have told any LE. Is this how all moose act?

Care to explain why you feel this way?

What was so important that the rider couldn't have made every attempt to wait the moose out. It's winter and the moose has all the right of way. It's her environment and home. He clearly provoked an agitated animal and made the situation worse. He could have thrown his machine in reverse and given it more room, instead he revs his engine and advances upon it.

If it was a wolf or cougar or bear would you feel differently?

I don't play relative "what if" games. I prefer to stick to the issue at hand. you can go off in the weeds if you want tho. I hope I get the call for jury duty on this one if it goes to trial.
