Everyone knows you have to have a turkey choke to shoot a turkey. HaHa

Turkey chokes tighten the pattern even more than a standard full choke. That's all.

I have heard that turkey chokes are even tighter patterns then full chokes but never tested it myself.

Out of my gun a turkey choke puts out about the same pattern at 40 yards that a full choke does at 30. It's all about more lead to the head. Makes em do cool flips and stuff.

My brother and myself both shoot Benelli Nova's. He's got the 26" barrel with a Carlson's turkey choke tube and it shoots tighter patterns than my 28" barrel with the factory full choke tube. Making sure you get a clean, accurate shot really makes a difference too.

yep, probably just tighter constriction. some of the aftermarket turkey tubes, like Indian Creek, also have raised rings in the tube to rip the wad away from the shot to give a more even shot string and tighter patterns.
