I'll probably be applying with my dad and girlfriend. Dad and I each will have seven points but she doesn't have any so it will drop our point average a lot... Still should be a shoe in with the special tag. Looking forward to it

Good choice. There have been some huge bucks killed there. If you hold out you could get 82"+

It was a pain in the a#% submitting my application from India. But I got it done. Thanks for doing the homework and putting us in for good units, elkaholic123. Years of dreaming about it, and we should be finally hunting speed goats this fall!

I was going to take the year off from WY (went 2010, 2011 and 2013), but as the deadline gets closer I've found myself looking for units that I could draw with zero points.  Just can't stay away!

Just finished my application with my hillbilly buddies from WV...  We missed last year but went the previous 4 years, so time for whack'em and stack'em again!!!  Hitting a new area, hopefully enough points to draw it as we each have 5 now....

For those of you believing there will be a lot of left over tags, you might want to contact Fish and Game.  Yeah, some areas do have and will have, but a lot of previous 100% areas have been hit hard with winter and then drought two years ago and this past summer too.  This created a lot of outfitters to move north east and lock up a lot of the private land up there.  Granted a lot of space there for sure, but off the listing out of 20 places I called last week - zero available lands.  Decided to put in for a lower draw % place.  Crossing fingers for Buck and two does......   We used to do area 30, our old lands where we hunted previously are not even allowing the ranch hands to tag goats this year.

Just got my app in with last years preference point for 93. Never hunted out of state before but i'm keeping my fingers crossed, sounds like an awesome hunt! Any thoughts on what to expect?

I have never hunted unit 93 but looks like it would take at least 5 points to draw it. Did you put in for the special?

Yes, it will be an awesome hunt!  Looks like you need 2+ in the special to draw, either that or get really lucky in the random draw.

Those 90's units have a ton of goats.  You'll see 14+ inch goats driving down the highway, it's just hard to find one that has all the elements to score particularly well (if you care about score).  The hardest thing is deciding which one to shoot because they all start to look the same.  You might look over 50 bucks a day, and deciding which one carries a few extra inches is difficult (at least it is for me).

I wish you luck!  I'm out of points this year, so trying to draw an easier unit.

Ive just put in for the regular, im applying for grad school in fairbanks right now so i didnt want to invest too much.

Im not picky on harvesting a trophy, its a new experience for me and i think they're awesome animals...the hunt itself is all im after! Ill try holding out but we'll see how long that lasts.
