Turkey packs!

Ok , so I'm throwing my backpack together slowly until the opener.
I am just curious about what your  must haves are when your headed out for a Turk hunt.  Hopefully I can reference your list to see if I'm missing anything  or  just plain didn't think of. A particular item.

Various calls (locators, box, pot with peg pack, diaphragms, etc with call care such as chalk, sand paper or green scratchy pad, & extra rubber bands).
Dekes.
Adjustable ground blind.
Turkey web seat.
Water/beverages and snacks/fruit.
T.P.
Umbrella blind (if it looks like rain/snow).
Nylon string and rounded nose scissors for tags.
Extra shells.
Orange blood proof game bag (with shoulder straps and draw strings).
Green mag light (or hat light).
Small binoculars.
Knives.
Ratchet pruner/saw set.
De-liar (or small scale with tape measure).

Plus tick repellent and then some more tick repellent. Can't have enough tick repellent and TP.

I use Sawyers tick spray on all my camo clothing, hats, gloves, etc ... all over but especially around any opening (pants and sleeve cuffs, neck, waist, buttons or zippers, hat inside band and outside, glove cuffs  .... about a week before the opener (ie - never need it in my turkey pack).  It lasts thru numerous washings (ie - all season). 

The ticks can get pretty bad especially in Eastern Wa, and it sure isn't worth having a tick burrow under your skin .....

Besides camo clothes, face mask and gloves. I carry 2 scratch box call, 2 wingbone call, 1 box call, a pot call and striker, chalk, a predator call or 2, flame orange hat to wear when carrying bird out, knife at least 1, license and tag with a roll of dental floss to tie tag on. sheet of camo cloth to assist with a small blind, a watch to time calling, ammo, T. paper, and snacks. If hunting with muzzle loader which is most of the time a possibles bag with shot, over powder wads, over shot wads, shot cups, powder both fff and ffff, caps and flints, cleaning patches, small pliers, screw driver, nipple wrench, nipples, nipple picks,   Or like one hunt a pair camo jeans and shirt, 1 call, 6 -28 ga shells and my dads nearly 100 year old Iver Johnson 28 ga and license and knife. Hunted one hour had 9 gobblers reply, shot, one very large gobbler at 10 yards.

Some type or shock call either peacock or crow and an owl call for fun

-Flashlight/extra batteries
-Food/drinks (food taken out of loud wrappers already)
-Binos/rangefinder
-Decoy/stake
-Small saw/pruners
-Gun or bow/extra ammo/arrows
-Zip ties and tape for tagging game
-Blaze orange for after the kill or visibility if needed
-Fire source (lighter and fire starters)
-Hand warmers for the chilly mornings
-Vest to hold everything and a good pad to sit on
-Possibly extra socks depending on weather and how good your boots are, nothing worse than wet feet

Tick key! Never hunt with out one! Works great for when the repellant fails and one of those little buggers starts diggin in.

T.P. & blood proof game bag are the two I always forget.  Forgetting either can ruin a good pair of britches in a hurry

Turkey vest contents include: pot calls with strikers, slick stik, box calls plus chalk, gobble shaker, snacks, drinks, TP, GPS, cell phone, head lamp, xtra gloves, zip ties for tag, extra shells, head net, crow call, decoy I never use, fire starter of course my license n tag. Think that's all.

Thanks guys! I've already added a few items you've mentioned like tick repellent.

I apply tick repellant to everything before I go and give it time to dry ...  the application will last thru several washing (usually the season.   You don't want to get it on your skin, so it's never in my pack and a last minute app like thing ....
