Anyone hunt near Ford?
« on: February 26, 2014, 09:15:22 PM »
I recently obtained permission to some property in Ford. Going to scout the property in a couple weeks. If anybody has any info about the area, I would love to hear it. Thanks

There are turkeys in that area. Most of the property west of Ford by a short distance clear to the Columbia river is reservation. To the east and south there is a lot of private mixed with timber company land. Some pretty rough areas back in some of those canyons, listen for a lot of banjo music and be sure you know who's property you are on.

A bunch of tweaker meth heads in that area also.  :yike:
Dont leave anything of value in your rig. Heck as far that goes you may as well leave it unlocked to save the cost of a new window.  :bdid:
In those areas near Spokane I put The Club on the steering wheel in hopes of them still screwing around trying to get it off my steering wheel when I come back.
Then there will be a mess that needs to be cleaned up.
 :dunno:
They stole my truck a few years ago, I havent been able to leave my truck since without worrying.  :bash:
Private is good. Shouldnt have any problem. Best of luck.

Thanks fellas. The property owner warned me about the quality folks around there. His property is all fenced with locked gates. Hopefully I won't have any issues. Can't wait to check the property out. Anyone know what the snow pack is right now?

Private land in that general area should be good. We hunted a few areas around there over the years and if the birds were close to where we could be we got em. I would go check it out and have a great time during the hunt, being sure to take good care of the land owner . Good luck and let us hear how you do.

Thanks guys. I'm going up in a couple weeks to get a better idea on where the property is exactly. I do know that it is east of the highway and not on the reservation.  Can't wait for April 15th!

Information on Spokane news this pm says the body of a adult was found near Corkscrew canyon road. This is between Ford and Tum Tum. This is a ongoing multi-agency investigation involving drugs and kidnapping. This is the type of some people in this area.

Set out a game camera at your truck when you leave it. Camo it real well. They won't even no to look of one because they are focuses on your truck.

Sounds like I better bring some fire power. Good thing I will be behind locked gates.
