Lets Talk Knives

So, I am getting ready to start making a couple knives to sell.  Have sold some to members on here and have made some to give away.  So here is a question,

"What is the blade length and profile that you like?"

I have some profiles that I really like, but I'm interested in your all's opinion as hunters because I want to make "working" knives.

I like a smaller profile fixed blade knife.  I use a buck.  cant tell you the model.  but the blade is prob 3 1/2 or so. 
IMO much easier to use a smaller profile fixed blade than bigger ones

I carry a couple knives for different tasks, wind up using a skinner type blade most of the time.

Pretty much nailed it with this one as far as I'm concerned.

  I agree something along the line the size of the buck192  for   skinning is a great size    .pretty much a good working blade size wise

I have a few I take hunting with me and I use the smaller one just about all the time. I look forward to the knife or knives you decide to make and sell.

i prefer a drop point under 4 inches.
I am starting to lean towards a preference in hollow ground but carry a convex ground knife as of now

I agree w/ 4" drop point. But I'm very intrigued with the nessmuk profile

Same, I like a little smaller blade, Its easier to carry and use on most "everyday" projects like cutting zipties off things, Doing this and that. Larger blades I feel like Im going to stab myself lol. Larger the blade = Less control.
That last blade Taco270 Added looks about perfect, Only thing that could make it alittle better is for the steel to come out some above the handle to act as a finger guard style thing.

Here's a few of my favorites I have had made for me over the years. I prefer "Drop Points" in the 3"-4" range. They balance well and handle quicker with less effort than a longer blade. I do own longer but I'm partial to the 3" to 4" size. I have knives in A2 , S30V, 440 and D2. D2 is by far my prefered steel, holds a edge relatively well and sharpens a whole lot easier in the field than let's say S30.

   Nailed it.....as for hunting / gutting / skinning this knife will do it all. 

With that being said...I would love to purchase one of your camp stlye knifes to put in the camper.  Longer heavier blade for cutting my favorite camp food....watermellon!!

I ordered one like this, but with a carbon fiber handle instead. Won't see it till September



Just bought these two, one I'm keeping and the other I'm giving as a gift for a kitchen/utility knife. Which to keep...
