Looking for a LH bow
« on: March 07, 2014, 08:48:03 PM »
Sad story but here it goes. Turns out my son-in-law enjoys bow hunting. He currently has a RH compound bow. About a year ago he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML inv-16). During his last round of chemo the drugs burned his right eye costing him most of his vision there. Chemo has taken a significant toll. Right now his health is okay. He lost his welding career due to AML and is looking for a job. He does his best to take care of my daughter and grandkids.

I had him out for a 3D shoot where he was trying hard to aim down the arrow with his left eye on a RH bow but it didn't work so well. I would like to get him out shooting and maybe get him back out hunting if his doctors will sign off on it.

I am looking for a LH compound bow. New bows are outside my price range at the moment. He has a 27-29" draw.

Thank you.

Given his disability he may be able to get a special permit for a cross bow? :dunno:

Thank you for your generosity. My son-in-law was very much overwhelmed at the bow Lucky1 graciously sent me. I was able to move the sight & quiver from his RH bow to the LH bow. then I added my Game Gear bag. Nock Point tuned the bow and helped him get it sighted in. This act of generosity is a high point in the last year filled with battles in chemo and cancer. Now he is working hard to learn how to shoot left handed.

With humble gratitude and respects. LLR
