I'm in for moose again this year.  Not for sheep.
Hopefully they keep my money and not issue me the rebate check again.  :chuckle:

I was thinking about jumping into the points game  this year but I read that they're looking at significantly cutting the tags a available to non residents rven more than they do now.  I'd hate to  commit to a two decade process for nothing.

It will be points in July for me this year.   I think I am somewhere between 10-12 points.  I am getting close for moose.

Nice thing about Wyoming is its spelled out pretty clearly what you have in line in front of you in regards to point holders and when you will draw in their preference point system.    If I wasn't in the game yet, it would be hard to enter it.

I'm also sitting on 10 to 12 points for moose and sheep.  I hope to be able to draw within the next 15 years.  Strategy is to stay healthy and keep working out to stay in shape.

That's where I am having trouble, trying to decide if I can still do a sheep hunt if I ever draw, I might be using a cane by then...  :chuckle:

Looking at this page it appears that it's pretty tough draw odds, right now a 15 to 20 year wait for a guaranteed tag and that's not figuring point creep, not sure how their draw works, is it 100% preference (those with the most points draw all tags) or is it bonus points (points get extra chances in the draw)?

Two draws, resident and nonresident.  75%/25% split.  Of those, 75% are preference point and 25% random draw.

Suppose area X has 16 moose permits.  9 go to the resident draw for preference points, 3 random; and 3 go to the nonresident draw for preference points, 1 random
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

 :yeah:
Why I quite bothering with random draw.  ALSO why I go postal on here when folks start talking preference point system for Washington.

and as they decrease the amount of tags (THANKS wolves), point creep is becoming nasty!
