It seems to me that with the AR 15 plarform we are talking about assembling a SBR and not manufacturing one. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Spoke with a Class 3 dealer who was informed directly by the ATF that they are interpreting the law as it being illegal to build/assembly/manufacture a SBR in Washington state.  You can purchase one from an out-of-state vendor/manufacturer.  So don't bother sending in those Form 1's tomorrow.

Whether this was an oversight or an intentional bit of red tape by the bill authors trying to placate both sides.... who knows?

Also, you cannot legally allow friends or family to shoot it, unless it was registered under a Trust, and those peoples' names are also listed in the Trust.  I'm sure some police officers would be more lenient about this than others.

Much easier to reword a law for clarification of intent that create a new one.  my bet if any problems they will fix it.

I don't think you could find a better advocate for gun owners and hunters.

Unless it s different than suppressor this is not true.  You cannot loan the weapon out, but Letting someone shoot it under your supervision is not an issue.  Otherwise lot of people at SHOT show would have been arrested.  sbr and family weapons we available openly during range days...

Dave, you are incorrect.  This person has filed a form 1 to do their own, and it's been approved.  He has attached a copy of his approved form 1.

You can let others shoot it as long as under the Licensee's supervision.  You cannot give it to your buddy to shoot for the weekend while you are not there...

If the State sponsors could eliminate registration they would have. We need a Congress that will repeal the 1934 NFA.
