Congrats Shannon! I remember meeting you at the DNR office in 2008. My 6 pts weren't enough obviously.

I don't believe Weyerhaeuser has made that announcement yet. I do know it's all posted "access by permit only."

Trophy hunt you know that hunt is the most physically demanding bear hunt in the state and if your not in shape u should steer clear.  :twocents:
and has the worlds largest population of ticks!!!  I ain't worried bout being in shape, I will call you to come pack the bear out for us! Should be a piece of cake after that elk you got last year!!

I didn't draw with 5 points but my two good friends did, I will be helping them out.  I have hunted it 4 times, and taken 4 bears.  I wouldn't go the first few weeks it opens, one year I did that I didn't see much. Follow the green up just below the snow line, they love those wild onions.  If you've ever killed a bear you know how hard they are to judge.  Lots of color bears in the blues, be a little picky, you'll know when it's big.  I've been fooled a couple times and shot smaller sows.   Saw the biggest bear in the world over there 7 years ago, of course right after I got done packing my small bear out!!!!  Lots of glassing, watch out for tics.  If I think of more info ill let you know, at work now.  Talk later
