I got my permit and another letter about Lincoln unit. Part of the bear unit is in the Wey co permit area but I was told it will be open for spring bear for permit holders.

Got lucky and drew Monroe w/ 3 points, second draw in four years! Didn't get one last time though, hopefully this year'll be better.

Had the Lincoln tag last year. Got a letter granting permission into the area without a fee up until the regular season. Used a Primos Coyote and Bear buster call... it seemed to work good early am and late afternoon towards dusk.

Got my Lincoln Card today...and MORE Importantly... a goodie package from T6...who has single handedly renewed my faith in this website and WA sportsmen. Thanks so much T6! I OWE YOU!
It does make me a little nervous that one of the two most experienced bear hunters I know in this state (Rick) will be trying to kill my bear before me and the other of the two (BTKR) says Lincoln sucks.

Looks like I get to wait a little longer to go spring bear hunting. Broke my leg Saturday. Hope they give my points back.

Went for a trail cam check in the Monroe area. Happy to report that there is a lot of green up and fresh grass sprouting. I'm seeing buds on the trees as well. No bear sign and no bears on cam but I think you all will have a good hunt when the time comes.
