Just curios the folks that drew the lincoln tag how does that work with weyco's access permit.

This is the first spring bear season since Weyerhaeuser began the access by permit only, so I don't think anyone knows yet what will be required this spring. The permits that they sold last year, and that will go on sale again this year in June, are good from August 1st to January 31st. I would think access for the spring bear hunt would be free, since bear hunters are doing them a favor, but who knows. Hancock and Rayonier charge hunters for access to their lands for the spring bear hunt, so I assume Weyerhaeuser will do the same.

Remember, they don't look at it as a favor. They look at it as customer relations with WDFW and providing hunting opportunity.

Drew Lincoln! Been putting in for 3 years. 1st ever spring Bear permit. Lots of great info on these threads, thanks to all the veterans for the solid advise. Excited and ready to start putting in the time. Figured Rick's seminar on Sunday to be a great place to start. Seems like a lot of guys recommend calling for these West side bruisers. Any advice from past Lincoln hunters would be greatly appreciated.
Good Hunting.

I got mine yesterday, as well as a letter with a little information about the hunt.

As far as access to the Lincoln unit, I went back and checked and it looks like that unit wasn't part of the Wey Co permit system last year.

Yes it was. It's considered part of the Pe Ell tree farm.
