Rimrock or Nile??
« on: November 19, 2008, 11:09:54 PM »
Ok i finally got down to 2 spots for late archery hunt and need your opinion here. Is it better to hit Nile (GMU 352) or Rimrock (3682)? If you have a specific preference would you mind stating advantages and disadvantages of each?

I think your a little confused. Rimrock is 364 and Ahtanum is 3682. I don't know much about the Nile. But I will send you a PM later on today about a pretty good spot in 3682 if you want it. Rimrock is more of an elk spot but you may find some deer in there.

Are you elk hunting? All of these areas you suggested are much better elk spots.

Rimrock is more of a elk spot, but there are a few bucks up there. The Nile has got both. You can be into the elk and deer in the same canyon. There are usually a few nice bucks taken out of the nile every year in the late bow season.

I have seen some nice bucks in the bumping on the oposite side of the road near Rimrock lake. I cant remember the name of the road, I think it was Wildcat.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

if your lookin for deer you would be better off in the nile but the deer number in that area have dropped significantly. we see nice bucks there every year though.
If you cant fix it with a hammer you got an electrical problem
