PHELPS Pot Calls
« on: March 11, 2014, 06:50:54 PM »
I have a limited run of friction calls that should be ready by the first of next week.  I'm excited how these turned out

(10) Bronzed Glass over Slate ($39.99):
This Call will do it all!!!

(10) Aluminum over Glass ($37.99):
Features a low maintenence anodized aluminum surface in a black walnut pot designed and hand turned. The high pitched cutting and high front end of the yelp that effortlessly rolls over to a raspy backend is proven to make turkeys gobble when others calls fail. The anodized surface produces realistic kee kee runs which not only makes this a great spring call but also a great call for your fall arsenal.

(10) Slate over Glass ($37.99):
The unique design of the Slate allows for a wider range of tones and increased volume, while maintaining the realistic subtle talk that has made slate the favorite with hunters. This call covers everything from tree talk or hard breaking prospecting yelps.

Is the bronzed glass one pretty easy to use? If you were a buyer which one would you choose?

Bronzed glass is an easy call to use once it is conditioned. With the slate sound board it is a toned down glass call but sounds very good.

Aluminum is higher pitched, but effective. Not everyone is using a call that sounds like this.

The slate over a glass sound board to me has the best sounds of
Out of the three, but also has moisture issues.

You really can't go wrong with any of them.

Thanks. I made up a few different strikers and every combination was awesome!!!  I'm very impressed with the sounds from these calls.

I can make you any diaphragm you want.  From clean and sweet to dirty and raspy.

I will try uploading a few videos later.
