Short hike behind the house with the dogs..
« on: March 16, 2014, 01:15:13 PM »
Decided to go on a short hike behind the house with the dogs and the dogs lead me to this..  Will be a good addition to the mancave and another project to get it cleaned up..   Had trailcams of this buck and I wish he would of had a couple more years of growing..

Not a wolf kill I am not sure what got him. Knock on wood there has not been any wolves around here yet..  I know the coyotes are really bad around here so it may of been that..  I back up to a smaller chunk of IEPCO land so yes that is where it was found..

I have only done boiling but may try maceration on this one we will see.  Not sure the pregnant wife would approve of me boiling it in the house and I am trying to keep on her good side..

Go to you tube and type in skull cleaning or how to clean a European skull mount. My nephew sent me a link and it shows this guy using a pressure washer! He was dome in like 10 minutes.... It was pretty slick!
