Trail cam ripped from tree box and all
« on: April 18, 2014, 07:30:40 PM »
I was checking a trail cam today and found my camera laying on the ground away from the tree a little bit. My metal box was bent up a bit and the screws were ripped out of the tree. I am posting a picture of what I walked up to and also a video of the culprit. After this video I got 202 more pictures and videos of ferns trees and sky. Every time the breeze blew a fern would wiggle and cause my camera to activate. My camera normally runs for a lot longer that what it is here. I don't understand why it shortened up so much, but I will adjust it.

This bear has the worst hide that I have ever gotten on camera but I thing he is pretty strong to do what he did.

If you keep showing all these videos I may have to break down and buy my pass. Been having a hard tome getting interested after geting drawn.

Sorry, I only post a small fraction of what I get. Just trying to participate and stay out of the arguing here. :)

You have had some great pics and video. Between turkey hunting and a couple halibut and shrimp trips coming up I'm having a hard time coming up with the time to use the tag.

If time is sparse for you, I would go the second month of the season if I were you. They are far more active then where the spring bear hunt is located. I counted nine during last years spring bear hunt in there.

That bear looks like he is quite a fatty!  He would look good come this winter with his coat filled in!  I was up there Wed most the day looking around in a few of the wild escapement areas but nothing for sign yet that I saw.  I had my two young ones with me so we didn't do much for hiking.

Woodman, that's a monster bear. Look at the width of the ears in relation to the eyes.   It's got such a huge pumpkin head it makes the eyes look like they're set way to close.   That's awesome!  Thanks for posting.
