We hit it last night without any love from the kokes. We tried wedding rings and dick nites and the little buggers would not bite anything we threw at em. I will try again next week.

Tips were as follows.
Dick nite flashers give the best action.
White shoe peg corn is the only corn to use.
.8 to 1.75 with a sweet spot of around 1.25 for trolling.
They are not leader shy...fight them easy.
Refresh baits every 30 min.
Run your two hooks close together.
Think pink and green.

So here is the bro in law holding our first koke of the season. Measured out at 13.5 inches and yielded two very nice little filets. We hit it just north of the west launch in about 70 feet of water at about 6 feet off the rigger. We were fishing a wedding ring with a clown dodger tipped with shoepeg and scented with Dick Nite scent. We did what we were told at the clinic, set the line in the trout clip, don't set the hook after the strike, and reel it in slow and easy. Granted, the BIL dropped it and it landed on the swim step but we managed to not lose it. Very pleased even if this was our only fish. It tells us we are doing something right.
