HOG WASH

yeah they killed all the animals so they are not eating.

What do you go to Yellowstone for? To see the animals which are now no where to be found.

The trouble is the anti wolf crowd needs to have a fancy video like this.

I needed subtitles. I couldn't understand half of what the anti was saying......... He keep on talking about deer, when I only saw a few elk ?? For someone, who obviously is a foreigner and knows that much is amazing, so it must be true. I know, because he read it someplace on the internet.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

It's a shame that most tree huggers that see this stupid video will believe it hook, line and sinker.

We can kill the elk/deer the same as the wolves and feed our families so we don't need them.  People are just to far away from their food source.  Some don't believe animals were harmed when they buy meat in the grocery store! :-0 There was an ad put in a paper (I'm sure someone could post it, just saw it on FB) that said something like this "Hunters should stop killing animals and get their food from the grocery store like everyone else where animals were not harmed. Shame on you hunters!" Just sayin.

"Some don't believe animals were harmed when they buy meat in the grocery store!"

I can attest to THAT!!

My LA born and bred sister in law, when she was first shown a cow standing in a pasture and told that is what her hot dogs and hamburgers made from  :yike: NO WAY came the answer!!   The next morning at the farm house she seen the fresh eggs brought in from the hen house :yike: I AM NOT eating any of those, do you see whats on the shell!!!!" :chuckle:

It took a few years but she finally came around,  her favorite past time now is going to gun shows!!   :IBCOOL:
The only good tree, is a stump!

I am a 70 year old big game hunter and have killed about 25 or so deer, elk and a goat, in 4 different states. I am also a 50+ time visitor to YNP and my personal opinion is that there is a large measure of truth in the video. After the fire, YNP was about a badly overgrazed feedlot for semi-tame elk and buffalo. The riparian areas along streams - particularly in the NE corner- were beat to death. Park officials rounded up and shot big game in the off season routinely to reduce numbers. So, there may be two sides to the story and I personally think that the reintroduction of wolves to YNP made it a more natural place.
Not that I care, but the revenue from tons of wolf-watchers is huge.

The revenue from allowing hunters to do that would have been huge as well!

 :yeah:
I think if wolf watcher revenue was high, there wouldn't have been as much of an economic downturn in the communities where wolves were introduced.  The only people I know that have spent any money to travel to ID or MT for wolves have done so for wolf hunting, and that money spent has been a small fraction of what they spend for elk or deer.

Actually the park service could have had special hunts to curb over population. Second it was a wolf introduction, not reintroduction. The yellowstone like many places in the US had their own wolf, not the same wolves that the USFWS illegally brought into the lower 48.

What the introduction of wolves did to the YNP was genocide by predator, there was nothing natural about it. The USFWS etc. like to tout that since the introduction more money has come into the area because of the wolves, nothing could be further from the truth. People came to the YNP to see all types of wildlife, not just a gut pile or wolves killing, the number of people actually dropped. This is posted somewhere on W-H.

Last year, I spoke with the drivers of two tour busses full of foreign tourists. Germany, France, etc. they both indicated that their tours (starting in Denver) had a focus of wolves and other wildlife in Yellowstone. The money is huge - and again, I don't care, but it is a factor.
Overall, IMO, the park is a better place with wolves there than it was prior.
People that need to drive up and see hundreds of semi-tame elk and buffalo may be better served by a zoo.

OK.  I got through about half of it.

Don't blame the narrator--a Red Deer is the same thing as a Wapiti (elk).  Thus, when he sees an elk he calls it a deer.  This is normal for a resident of Britain (sorry, all the native deer on Eire are long gone).

But, the height of the forest has quintupled (4X) in a decade.  Really?  Ummmm.  My trees don't grow that quickly.

Too much enthusiasm, quite short on facts.  Move along folks, nothing to see here.

You just keep telling yourself that and eventually you might even believe it.  If you like your doctor you can keep him-If you like your insurance you can keep it period!-How well has that lie gone over??
