Get well wishes for a fellow trapper!
« on: March 19, 2014, 04:19:17 PM »
Trappers,

Some of you may already know but Bob Maier and his family had a scary week. Bob went in to have knee surgery, made it home and had a blood clot situation that resulted in CPR (broke several ribs in the process), an ambulance ride and extended stay at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland.

I went to see him today and although he looked a little rough and was bored out of his mind, he is doing much better and should be headed back home in the next couple of days.

I thought it would be nice if he had a bunch of get well wishes waiting for him on HW!

I talked to him yesterday and like you say he was bored. Good sign. Sounds like he dodged a bullet.

My father had blood clotts, and i had a buddy from my archry club die at age 45 because he stopped taking his blood thinning medicaiton after just one year. Do plenty of reading about blood clotts, once you have them you REALLY need to read up on them. Glad you dodged the bullet. My father had a clott break off in his leg pass through his heart into his lungs... fortuantly he is doing ok but will be on the thinner for the rest of his life...

Get well soon!
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.
